Arts on the Green in LaGrange, KY
Every first weekend in June, the Arts Association of Oldham County hosts the Arts on the Green in Downtown LaGrange. Here’s why we love it!
Activities for Kids!
Not only is the festival a great place to expose children to various art forms, there are ways for children to have a hands-on experience. Children are encouraged to participate in some activities. There is also face painting, other children’s activities and some vendors even allow children to try their art medium.
The festival has 125 local and national artists. You can find anything from paintings, jewelry, woodwork, candles, pottery and so much more! Prices vary among the artwork too-you can buy a major piece or keep it simple with some elegant smelling soap for your home or as a gift.
The Colonial Trade Faire!
Double festival bonus! This festival is held in conjunction with the Arts on the Green at the Oldham County History Center. There is an 18th Century camp with settlers selling 18th century ware, music, cannon demonstrations and other on-going heritage demonstrations! Art and history together!
The Food & Entertainment!
Various food vendors will be set up during the festival. Enjoy BBQ, Greek food, ice cream, nuts and other delicious food. Festival goers can “wine down” with wine and beer while listening to music near the square’s gazebo.
Downtown LaGrange has many unique stores and restaurants to also visit while you are at Arts on the Green! Main Street offers antiques, consignment, toys, boutiques, coffee and so much more. It’s worth the walk! You might even see a train come down Main Street while you’re there!
Arts on the Green is the first weekend in June, 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday on the Courthouse Square in LaGrange.
