Celebrate Earth Day with Feed & Seed Depot
There are quite a few supplies that you can find at Feed & Seed Depot to help you celebrate Earth Day. They offer call ahead and parking lot pick up. Here is a list of Earth Day ideas you can do using items found at the store:
Bird Feeders and Seed – We lost count of how many different feeders they had in their store! Adults and children find pleasure in bird watching and what a fun addition to your yard or windowsill. The hummingbird feeders are our favorite. They have several other feeds for all kinds of animals – squirrel, deer and dogs. Our animal friends are a part of our Earth, too! Pinterest is full of all kinds of birdseed projects that you can do at home. I’m sure we all have plenty of empty toilet paper rolls ready to be covered in birdseed!
Garden Seeds – Steve said that their huge variety of garden seeds have been very popular right now as families are getting their gardens ready or starting a new one for the first time this year. If you’ve thought about starting a garden, Feed & Seed Depot can help you! They welcome questions and love to help.
Flower Garden Seeds – We’re stuck at home, so our homes are getting a lot of attention that we didn’t necessarily have time for in the past. Flowers are a great way to spruce up your outdoor space and help our pollinators! We chose to plant some lavender for our backyard because we love the smell of it and are hoping to attract some butterflies this summer. Feed & Seed had the lavender, soil and pots all in their store! Families can paint and decorate the pots with special Earth Day 2020 messages to remember the day.
We encourage you to support our small businesses in Oldham County this Earth Day and every day! Feed & Seed Depot is just one of the wonderful stores that can help you celebrate Earth Day or any other outdoor project. Some other area shops to consider are:
