Cheap Fall Break Fun!

Are you planning to stay home over Fall Break? If so, we have some fun ideas for you that hopefully won’t break the bank!

Oldham County students are off of school October 18-22, 2021 for Fall Break. Here are a few ideas for you to fill your time over the break.

There are many Halloween events throughout October.  Check these lists to see which ones fall over Fall Break!

The Meadow House Farm is hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, 10/23! We had a lot of fun at this festival last year! The animals were our favorite!

Visit Little Big Gem Mine & Rock Shop in LaGrange! They have new Fall hours. So be sure to follow them on Facebook.

Find your perfect pumpkin and have fun on a farm just outside of Oldham County! We love Mulberry Orchard and Gallrein Farms in Shelbyville. If you’re out in the Shelbyville are, you can also drive to Frankfort and visit Salato Wildlife Center!

Get outside! Hopefully Fall Break gives us a break from the heat and allows us to enjoy one or two of the great hiking trails in our county! Our personal favorite is Harrods Creek Park.

No school means later bedtimes! Catch a drive-in movie over Fall Break!  Sauerbeck Family Drive-in is starting to show new movies again as well as some oldies, but goodies.

Maybe you need a break from all the kid fun or a place for the kids to play while you work or play yourself?  Check out these Fall Break camps here.

We love visiting Downtown LaGrange.  You can visit the Railroad Museum, shop at the many stores, grab a bite to eat and much more!  Some events happening over Fall Break are: Trackside Tunes, Ghost Tours or visit the Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.
