Several activities available only on the weekends, but if you want cheap fall fun, go during the week where you can visit the farm animals, play on the hay pyramid and enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch for less money.
Visit this little gem petting zoo in Prospect. Don’t forget to bring a donation for their revitalization project! Also, remember they are closed on Mondays and you cannot feed the animals.

Visitors can slingshot pumpkins, navigate the hay maze, make mud pies, and enjoy a hayride in the splendor of Bernheim’s colorful landscape. Other highlights include live music, hands-on nature activities, unique local foods, Kentucky arts and craft vendors, and more.

Josephine Sculpture Park
Located in Frankfort, this park is open 365 days. Participate in the several scavenger hunts, look at the many sculptures on the grounds, have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful park. On October 26th, you can enjoy Owls at JSP 1-3pm ($5)
Clifty Falls State Park
Located about an hour away in Madison, Indiana, this park has several trails to walk, playgrounds, a lodge for dining and beautiful waterfalls. Check out the walking trail along the Ohio River and Main Street in Madison while you’re visiting. Follow their events page on Facebook..
Sauerbeck Family Drive-In
Follow their events page on Facebook to keep up with movie schedules and Retro Night ($10 per carload). They have a fun Halloween event planned on October 26th.
Village 8 Movie Theater
Watch a movie for as cheap as $2!
Hocus Pocus is showing on 10/18 at 8pm if you want to see it on the big screen in a super cool theater. Tickets are $8.
Oldham County Public Library
They have several activities to choose from during Fall Break. Read a book, play a board game or check out one of their special events happening at all 3 branches. On October 23rd, they are showing Toy Story 4 at the Main Branch in LaGrange at 4pm. You can also visit with penguins at the Main Branch on 10/24 at 11am or 2pm.
