Lenten Fish Fry Locations in and around Oldham County

It’s Fish Fry Time! Who is hosting a fish fry or providing a Lenten meal this year? We looked around for you-check out the list below.

Lent means the start of Fish Fry Fridays.  Lent in 2023 is observed/celebrated February 22 – March 8th.  Many of our church communities will host fish fries again this year. Of course, there are still great restaurants around the area to find a Lenten meal.

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church
Fridays, 2/24-3/31
Knights of Columbus will host Fish Fries in the Marion Center. Menu: Boston scrod, shrimp or pizza. Meals include choice of two sides from the six different sides, including “vegetable of the week” and two hush puppies. 

St. Aloysius Catholic Church
Pewee Valley
Starts on Ash Wednesday, 2/22 and then will continue each Friday 2/24-3/31.  No Fish Fry on Good Friday 
Dine-in, Carry-out and Drive-thru: Fried Fish, Baked Fish, Rolled Oysters, Shrimp, Pizza, Baked Potatoes, Green Beans, Mac & Cheese, Coleslaw, Hush Puppies, Jalapeño Hush Puppies, French Fries, Onion Rings and cheesesticks

St. Bernadette Catholic Church
Fish Fry hosted by Saint Mary Academy in Prospect
Available on 2/24, 3/3, 3/10

St. James Episcopal Church in Pewee Valley is hosting  pasta nights on 2/24, 3/10 & 3/24 5-7pm.  The meal is free (donations appreciated). You can eat it there or take it to go. Meal is meatless pasta, salad and bread.

Crestwood Bistro in Crestwood is always serving up delicious, fresh meals.  Make sure you follow them on Facebook to see what they will serve the community for Lent.

One Nineteen West Main in LaGrange has recurring menu items that will help you find a perfect and yummy meal for Lent. Delivery is available.

Jucy’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Q in Pewee Valley will have smoked salmon again this year!
