A great option for family fun in Oldham County is visiting the Sauerbeck Family Drive-In in LaGrange.

We love the fun and welcoming atmosphere of the drive-in and have always had a great experience each time we have visited. The fall is a great time to visit with earlier sunset times and cooler temperatures.

Fall Fun! Two Trunk or Treat and a Movie dates in October!

We like to find our favorite spot near the front of the parking lot and get set up.  We bring our comfy chairs, blankets and pillows.  Usually, the kids will get cozy in the back of the car and we leave the trunk open for them.  In order to listen to the movies, we always pack our old stereo to conserve our vehicle’s battery.  Bug spray is also on our packing list and fun glow stick necklaces or bracelets to add to the experience of outdoor movie watching.

You can purchase tickets online to ensure you have a spot at The Sauerbeck Family Drive-In. Food permits can also be purchased online. These are $5 and allow visitors to bring in outside food and drink. The drive-in relies on concession stand sales, so the $5 also helps them stay in business. They have a great variety of food and drinks at their concession stand!

Movie showtimes are always posted on their Facebook page and online.  Admission is usually for two movies. You can see different pricing on the ticket sales page based on who is attending the movie.  Our favorite time to visit is on Retro Wednesday where admission is discounted to view an older movie.

Their concession stand has quite an impressive menu. Visitors can order hot food like hamburgers or pulled pork sandwiches or a sweet treat including Blue Bell Ice Cream. You can rent radios if you don’t want to use your car’s stereo or want to bring one with you.

The Sauerbeck Family Drive-In has really added to our fun this year.  We always have a great time watching movies with family and friends.  The facility is clean and has a family-friendly atmosphere. Continue to watch their Facebook page as there are special events and even sponsored free movie nights at times.  Visiting the drive-in is a fun memory to make with your family and friends.
