Egg My Yard Fundraiser in Oldham County

Unfortunately, 2021’s Easter events just aren’t popping up like they usually do this time of year.  But, we are fortunate enough to have a great community that pulls together to make things work during unusual times.

Local State Farm Insurance Agent, Jennifer Jacobs, is bringing back her Egg My Yard Fundraiser for Easter this year. Last year, Jennifer and her team delivered and scattered eggs to over 50 homes in the Oldham County area.

Last year, my kids woke up to 30 Easter eggs scattered around our front yard.  They were so excited. I loved seeing their excitement and the convenience of having the eggs ready on Easter morning.  It’s also great knowing that my purchase was part of a fundraiser for our community.

The 2nd annual Egg My Yard fundraiser has four different local charities to choose from once you place your order.  The four organizations are: Hope’s Closet KY, Good News Homes, Tri-County Community Action and the Humane Society of Oldham County. There is a quick google form to complete and payment can be made via Venmo.

Make sure you get your orders in. Cut-off for ordering will be two weeks before Easter or when they reach 100 homes. The eggs can be delivered and scattered within a 10 mile radius of LaGrange. The eggs are filled with toys, so children can enjoy their Cadbury eggs and chocolate bunnies inside and surprise eggs outside.

Just like many special events and holidays, we hope that we start to see a return of “normalcy” soon.  We are grateful for a community that creates family fun in a safe manner.  Wake up on April 4th to eggs in your yard or send some eggs to someone special.
