What to Do at Light Up LaGrange

LaGrange kicks off the holiday season each year with Light Up LaGrange.  The set up is a little different for 2020, but the holiday spirit is still there.

Light Up LaGrange is always one of the more popular events in Oldham County. Due to COVID-19, the event has to be scaled back this year.  This year there is no official lighting ceremony, but the lights will still shine!

Downtown LaGrange would love for families to still visit and enjoy the beautiful lights and decorations, while staying safe.  On Saturday, the lights turn on and there are activities for families to enjoy safely.
Events for Saturday, December 5th include a Drive-thru Breakfast with the Grinch, Drive-thru Breakfast with Santa, socially distanced visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus on Main Street, Music on Main Street and Living Nativity at City Place.  Make sure you visit the mailbox on Main Street to mail your letter to the big guy! The Facebook event is here and gives details for each event.
While you’re in Downtown LaGrange, make sure you shop small, grab some takeout and check out the store window displays for their contest. Theme Thursday is on December 17th. The theme for December is BE KIND – SHOP LOCAL.  Visit LaGrange, the Kindness Capital of Kentucky, and grab a Be Kind sign from the Be Kind Sisters.  There will be more holiday music and Santa and Mrs. Claus visits on this day too.
We hope you will take some time to visit Downtown LaGrange and enjoy the lights, shopping, business owners and special holiday atmosphere. 2020 is changing many things, but surely we can still find joy and happiness in the sparkling lights and our small community.
