What to Do at Light Up LaGrange

LaGrange kicks off the holiday season each year with Light Up LaGrange.  There is a full day’s worth of activities, so make your plans now!

Light Up LaGrange is always one of the more popular events in Oldham County. Expect Santa, cookies, candy canes, markets, music, food and more at this holiday event!

Light Up LaGrange is set for Saturday, December 6th! Start Saturday off with The Grinch’s Holiday Sale starting at 10am.  It is held at the Oldham County History and includes new and used holiday gifts, cookie decorating and character meet and greets.
Stick around Main Street! Businesses will be open for shopping and hosting special activities during Light Up LaGrange.  We love seeing the unique gifts and beautiful window displays.  Check out the official map to find businesses, Candy Cane making, Reindeer Food making, choirs, hot chocolate and more.
LaGrange Main Street has a full schedule of activities so make sure you check out the map ahead of time.  We love that new spaces in LaGrange are being used to bring new activities to the event.  You can explore all of quaint LaGrange during this event.
Restaurants will be open along with food trucks for grabbing a bite to eat.  One of our favorite little gems in LaGrange is the LaGrange Railroad Museum.  New this year is the Gingerbread House Competition. Families can decorate and drop off their special creation by December 5th for a chance to win great prizes.
There’s more!  The lighting ceremony hasn’t even happened yet.  Stake out a spot on Main Street to catch the arrival of Santa on one of Oldham County’s decorated fire trucks.  The parade is set to start at 6pm with the arrival of Santa!  Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Dahlgreen Barn near the Oldham County History Center.
