What to Do at Light Up LaGrange

LaGrange kicks off the holiday season each year with Light Up LaGrange.  There is a full day’s worth of activities, so make your plans now!

Light Up LaGrange is always one of the more popular events in Oldham County. Expect Santa, cookies, candy canes, markets, music, food and more at this holiday event!

Light Up LaGrange is set for Saturday, December 2nd! Start Saturday off with Breakfast with Santa or a Morning with the Grinch!  Breakfast with Santa is hosted by LaGrange Elementary School PTA and is held at Hometown Pizza.  Breakfast is 7-10am and is $5 for adults and $4 for kids (cash or check).
A Morning with the Grinch is held at the Oldham County History Center from 9am-11am.  Admission is $3 per person.
Once you’re stuffed, stick around Main Street! Businesses will be open for shopping.  We love seeing the unique gifts and beautiful window displays. City Place will be host to several more fun activities.  Oldham Chamber is hosting Candy Cane making at City Place from 3-8pm ($1 donation which will go to the Oldham County Red Cross).
LaGrange Main Street has a full list of activities on their website going on during Light Up LaGrange. Make sure you check out the list before December 2nd!  We love that new spaces in LaGrange are being used to bring new activities to the event.  Make sure you walk down to The Springs Park, Emerge Escape Room and the Alley Loop to catch everything going on.
Restaurants will be open along with food trucks for grabbing a bite to eat.  One of our favorite little gems in LaGrange is the LaGrange Railroad Museum.  They also invite visitors to come over for Light Up LaGrange fun.
There’s more!  The lighting ceremony hasn’t even happened yet.  Stake out a spot on Main Street to catch the arrival of Santa on one of Oldham County’s decorated fire trucks.  The parade is set to start at 6pm with the arrival of Santa!  Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Dahlgreen Barn near the Oldham County History Center.  They will be there until 9pm.
