Review of Wendell Moore Park in LaGrange, Ky

Visitors to this park will not be left bored.  It is a large park with many open spaces and features to explore.  We like that the playground has two different play structures for different ages.  The larger play structure has several climbing, crawling and sliding features and the smaller playground is perfect for younger children.  The playground area is surrounded by a large greenspace and trees. There are several benches surrounding the playground also, but shade is minimal unless you sit under a shelter outside the playground area.  Near the playground area is also a large covered picnic shelter with many picnic tables, making it convenient to take a snack break while playing.  We do wish the restrooms were a little closer to the playground.  

Wendell Moore Park is nice for playing and also exploring.  There is a lake with docks for fishing and paved trails, which are convenient for strollers and bikes.  Several programs and events are held at the community center, aquatic center and park throughout the year.  An entire day can be spent at this park between swimming at the aquatic center, picnicking under one of the shelters and playing at the large playground.
